Students tour Imperial Cities

Fourteen Lauralton students toured four of Europe’s most historical cities during their spring break in April 2014. Accompanied by social studies teacher Marilyn Cummings and French teacher Regina Moller, the students visited Prague, Czech Republic; Budapest, Hungary; and Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. The participants explored Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral and the Jewish Ghetto in Prague, and sailed on the beautiful Danube taking in the sights of Budapest.

After a tour of Vienna and Schoenbrunn Palace the travelers were treated to a classical concert at the Vienna Musikverein and an evening at the Prater Amusement Park. The group also enjoyed exploring Melk Abby on the way to Salzburg, where they visited Mozart’s birthplace and sang tunes fromThe Sound of Music with their local tour guide.
