Fine Arts Festival showcases student talent

The annual Fine Arts Festival, held in the Claven Auditorium on the evening of May 1, included an exhibit of student two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks as well as student musical performances.

The art display showcased artwork from all grade levels. Each grade 12 student from the Senior Art Workshop had her own exhibit of work, taken from
her portfolio, and included a written testimonial of her experience with visual art at Lauralton Hall.

"Our student artists created many sophisticated pieces this year,” said art teacher Judith Doherty. Art teacher Kimberly Rosenberg added “The artwork reflects a variety of media including digital art, watercolor, acrylic, collage, charcoal, and ceramics. I am proud that the exhibit was organized entirely by our students. They chose which pieces to exhibit and they organized each display."
