Where are they now? Lauralton Hall alumnae in the arts

“People are born with many talents, but in order to fully realize them, we need to feel nurtured and supported,” explains singer, actress and Lauralton alumna, Rachelle Zaretzky ’04.

Rachelle credits Lauralton Hall for doing just that – preparing students for artistic life and achievement in college and beyond. If your daughter dreams of a career in the arts, Lauralton Hall can encourage and nurture talent as well as provide formal education in the arts. With the passion of our dedicated teachers and the support of encouraging peers, our young artists reach their highest potential.

Here’s where some of our young alumnae are today:

Sarah LeMieux 97Sarah LeMieux ’97 is a musician, recording artist and currently teaches at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven where she is a founding member of the Special Needs Work Group. Sarah credits her teachers at Lauralton Hall and her family for giving her “the tools and the faith to pursue a career in music and music education.” SarahTracy Ellwanger Carlucci 01 has performed at the National Women Blues Festival, Mamapalooza and International Women Arts Day Festivals.

Tracy Ellwanger Carlucci ’01 began teaching private piano lessons when she was a junior at Lauralton. In 2007, Tracy opened Greenfield Hill Piano Studio, followed by the Fairfield School of Music in 2012. She has become a respected and influential musician in Fairfield County and beyond.

Rebecca Zaretzky ’03 has a love for theatre that has taken her far, earning acting roles in such productions as The Tempest at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, As You Like It at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and many others. She too thanks Lauralton Hall for its role in her artistic success.

Emily Sanchez ’06 is a piano skills teacher at UCONN, as well as an outstanding opera singer who credits her courage and skills to one of her teachers, now Fine Arts Department Chair Margy Sargent.

These are just a handful of the success stories of Lauralton Hall alumnae. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for our current students and we are extremely proud of Lauralton Hall students past and present as they continue on their artistic journeys.
